Anal fissures

An anal fissure is a painful cut, a linear tear occurring in the anus. This often is accompanied by rectal bleeding and cramping of the sphincter. When anal fissures become chronicle, a tag of skin at the edge of the anus may develop. A fissure often results from hard stools or sphincter cramps.
